I want to give you the foundational knowledge, resources, and skills to not only prepare to pass this exam with flying colors, but to give yourself the best first step forward moving into the nurse anesthesia career path.
Once you have practiced as an RN or APRN for 1,750 hours in direct care of acutely/critically ill adult patients during the previous two years, you can start on the path to becoming a certified critical care registered nurse.
The most widely accepted certification for critical care nurses is the CCRN exam, which is a comprehensive timed 3-hour test consisting of 150 questions. You need about 70% of these answers correct to pass. This certification is a credential granted by the American Association of Critical- Care Nurses (AACN).
Passing this exam validates a registered nurse has achieved a higher level of clinical knowledge to care for acutely and/ or critically ill patients in the adult, pediatric or neonatal settings and you are committed to serving with excellence in nursing.
